It’s the best time of the year! Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, the largest celebration of its kind in the United States. The time when Cincinnatians come out in droves to drink Sam Adams Oktoberfest on the streets of downtown Cincinnati.
Since I don’t live in Cincinnati anymore, this was a special day for me. It was the first time that I was back after I left 3 years ago. I was so happy to be able to spend the weekend in the most incredible city, eating at all of the places I love with the guy that I love.
We both want to come back someday. There’s no other city like it.
At Oktoberfest Zinzinnati there was no shortage of Bavarian beer, bratwurst, sauerkraut, potato pancakes, apple strudel, lederhosen, and the Cincinnati skyline. With all of that, it doesn’t take much convincing to celebrate my German heritage.
We walked and talked as we drank.
This year they had a special brew called 513, made by Sam Adams specifically for the city of Cincinnati. We both tasted it, and we agreed – it tasted EXACTLY like a Cincinnati beer should taste.
If you don’t know what that is, I suggest you come and try it for yourself.
